I don't know what's been going on this week. I'm thinking that maybe TOM is heading my way because I've just been wanting to eat. It's really weird too because I've been really focused on exercise. I'm already at 4 days with Friday and Saturday left on my workout schedule. I've even worked out despite my sciatica flaring it's ugly little head again!
But back to the eating. So almost all week I've upped my protein portion. I usually eat 2 oz of protein per meal but I've probably been eating 3-4. Not at every meal but for some. I had about 1/4-1/2 of a cup of fruit (strawberries, kiwi, honeydew, cantaloupe & pineapple) several times during breakfast. My breakfast is protein and carb portions. And once or twice I increased my fruit portion during my snack. I've also chosen to eat the after dinner snack most nights this week, but actually since I've been working out at night that is reacquire.
I know! You see it too right? These are my cheats...my CHEATS!, people. How exiting is this. There are no oreos, honey buns, pints of ice cream, chips--nothing. I'm cheating with fruit. I still have to be careful because it all adds up but... The one thing that is concerning me and that I have to refocus on is that I've falling off with journaling my meals and measuring. My protein and carbs are always measured but I haven't been measuring fruits (1/2 cup) or veggies (1 cup). Before you use my words against me, this is not an obsession. These are practices that are necessary to my success and must be lifestyle change for me.
Anyway, I decided to make a full disclosure and I'm okay.
